A cooling tower is a device that uses air contact with water (direct or indirect) to cool water. It uses water as a circulating coolant to absorb heat from a system and discharge it into the atmosphere, thereby reducing the temperature inside the tower and making the cooling water recyclable equipment.
Heat dissipation relationship in cooling tower:
In the wet cooling tower, the temperature of hot water is high, and the temperature of the air flowing through the water surface is low. The water passes the heat to the air, which is taken away by the air and dispersed to the atmosphere. There are three forms of heat dissipation from the water to the air:
① contact heat dissipation;
② evaporative heat dissipation;
③ Radiation heat dissipation.
The cooling tower mainly relies on the first two kinds of heat dissipation, radiation heat dissipation is very small, can not be neglected.
