Cooling tower noise problem solution

When the cooling tower is installed, there will be some ground noise. The noise produced by the cooling tower during normal operation includes water splashing noise, fan noise, motor noise, circulating water pump noise, water pipeline vibration and radiation noise. Splash noise, fan noise and motor noise of cooling tower are the main noise sources. The following Xiaobian to tell you how to deal with these


1. Splash noise


Splash noise is produced by two different noise mechanisms: one is the sharp pulse noise announced when water droplets hit the surface; The other is the noise radiated by the fluctuating volume of bubbles produced by water droplets. Due to the strong insulation of the cooling tower body, the splash noise radiated from the tower body can be ignored, and only the splash noise radiated from the air inlet can be considered. Due to the large drop height of water in cooling tower, the splash velocity and kinetic energy of water droplets are higher, which leads to high splash noise. When measured 1m away from the air intake, the noise is 83.2dB(A). It is worth noting that the air inlet area of the cooling tower is very large. The air inlet area of each side of the 1# and 2# cooling towers is 70.2m2, and the air inlet area of each side of the 3# cooling tower is 93.6m2


2. Fan noise

Fan noise is air dynamic noise, including rotation noise and turbulence noise. The rotating noise is the gas pressure pulsation noise caused by the periodic impact of the fan blade on the air when rotating. Turbulence noise is mainly generated when the air attached to the fan blade is constantly slipping into a vortex when the blade is rotating. The main noise of fan in cooling tower is turbulence noise. Because the impeller diameter of the cooling tower fan in this project is larger than 4m, the linear velocity of the tip of the fan impeller is larger, so the noise is relatively large. Due to constraints, field measurement could not be carried out (measurement should be carried out in the direction of 45° above the fan of the cooling tower). Based on the relevant empirical budget, the noise should be around 86dB(A). Fan noise is low frequency characteristic, air moisture content is high, it is difficult to handle. In addition, the fan of the cooling tower is located at the top of the cooling tower, and the noise of the fan has greater influence on the noise in the distance than that in the near place. Therefore, the splash noise around the cooling tower should be felt, but it can not be judged that the noise of the cooling tower fan has no effect on the noise of the factory boundary, and its influence degree needs to be further measured and analyzed.


3. Motor noise

Fan and water pump need to be equipped with motor. Motor noise mainly includes rotation noise caused by poor dynamic balance of rotator, electromagnetic noise caused by rotator cutting magnetic field, air power noise of cooling fan, mechanical noise caused by bearing conflict, etc. The motor outdoor equipment of the fan is at the top of the tower, and the noise measured at 1m away from it is 73.2dB(A). After other noise sources are processed, motor noise has certain influence on the conformity of factory boundary noise at night, which needs to be further handled.


4. Treatment methods

(1) should be blocked in the waterproof channel, easy to reflect the volume of the high wall, should be installed on the roof or the atmosphere of the local circulation.

(2) When two or more FRP cooling towers are used together, the distance between the towers should be accurate.

(3) glass steel cooling tower should obstruct the settlement of soot and dust more local, prevent the above blocking film.
